Trucking in the Off-Season

Fun fact about me: before I became a mom and moved to Illinois I had my CDL. I drove school bus, grain truck, and fertilizer tenders. ๐Ÿš›๐ŸšŒ

Iโ€™ve hung up my trucker hat ๐Ÿงข for now, and stick to my mom cap ๐Ÿ‘’ on the daily.

Trucking is a big part of #farmingintheoffseason for us.

We can store up to 730,000 bushels of grain and all of it needs to be hauled out before we start harvesting again next September.ย  Most of our corn ๐ŸŒฝ is trucked a 2hr+ round trip from the home farm. So, this is a time-consuming job.

Thankfully we have our boys and a couple of really amazing guys who work for us that get the job done safely and efficiently.
